It's been a busy time at Bigscreen. The launch of the Steam Frame has brought massive demand for the Bigscreen Beyond 2 and 2e. We've been selling more units per day than we did during the 2025 holiday season! And this has required some adjustments to help meet demand.
Earlier this year, we began offering a new configuration for the Beyond 2 and 2e. By default, the headsets now ship with our Universal-Fit Cushion. Our comfortable and easily shareable silicone cushion that doesn't require 3D Face Scan to purchase.
When you order a Universal-Fit Cushion you actually receive two: a firm and soft cushion. The firmer silicone will accommodate face and nose shapes that require more space between the eyes and headset for the most comfortable experience, while the soft cushion trades eye-relief (the distance from your eyes to the lenses) for a closer fit to the optics to increase field of view. Here's the catch: we're completely sold out of the Universal-Fit Cushion and the next restock is about six weeks out.
But good news! We're launching the new Universal-Fit Light Seal! This is an ultra-soft version of the Universal-Fit Cushion that is intended to maximize your FOV. This is achieved by reducing eye-relief: a softer and more flexible material enables you to position the optics closer to your eyes. However, it should be noted that the Light Seal may not suit all face shapes. If you find the headset is uncomfortably close to your eyes with the Universal-Fit Light Seal, please contact Customer Support.
We recommend the Universal-Fit Cushion for most people, as the firm and soft cushions in that package are built to comfortably accommodate the broadest population of face shapes. The Universal-Fit Light Seal is in-stock today and works best with the Halo Mount (more on that below), but can also be used with the Soft Strap and Audio Strap.
We've changed our default configuration to ship with the Universal-Fit Light Seal to provide an additional fast-shipping option for customers who don't want a Custom-Fit Cushion. A headset configured with either the Universal-Fit Light Seal or Custom-Fit Cushion will ship in 2-3 business days. As always, the most up-to-date shipping info is on our store page.

If you want a Beyond 2 ASAP, then pick up the Beyond 2e in Clear with the Custom-Fit Cushion or the new Universal-Fit Light Seal.
Halo Mount Shipping Update![]()
After the past year of major design revisions, engineering problems, and manufacturing challenges, we're excited to get the Halo Mount in your hands, and we appreciate the community's patience through our tough road to production. Bigscreen engineers will be on-site at the factory to ensure mass production goes smoothly.
As production ramps up, we previously expected the largest volume of Halo Mounts to ship in October, and to fully catch up on the Halo Mount preorder backlog in November. Our previous October estimate is delayed by 1-2 weeks, but we still expect to catch up on the backlog in November. For those who've preordered the Halo Mount, almost all customers should still expect a shipment in November. New Halo Mount orders placed now will ship in December.
Next: 3DoF Mode and Major Eyetracking Updates
In the meantime, we're going to be shipping some great software updates. We have a 3DoF mode coming soon that allows you to use your Beyond for flat experiences without the need for base stations. And our new eyetracking model is entering beta soon, and it's a massive upgrade. We've received a ton of positive feedback from early testers and can't wait to share the new and improved model with you. We'll also be covering those on our blog and on our YouTube channel, so keep your eyes peeled for those upcoming releases.
