One year ago, we started shipping Bigscreen Beyond 2. We've shipped tens of thousands of VR headsets to happy customers around the world and received glowing praise from reviewers like LinusTechTips and Optimum. Today, we are excited to launch a new Beyond 2 model with a more accessible price. Beyond 2 now starts at $1019 $959 and Beyond 2e starts at $1219 $1159.
Customize Your Beyond
The standard Beyond 2 now ships with the Universal-Fit Cushion, an ultra-thin silicone lightseal. It comes in two varieties, soft and firm, letting you customize your fit for ideal comfort. The Universal-Fit Cushion is especially great for sharing VR with friends or for business (B2B) use cases. You can also upgrade to the Custom-Fit Cushion which is custom manufactured to the exact shape of your face using a 3D Face Scan. Although it's not as easy to share, the Custom-Fit cushion offers unparalleled comfort as it distributes pressure evenly across your face and can prevent light leakage for total immersion.
And if you already have our Custom-Fit Cushion, you can buy the Universal-Fit Cushion as a standalone product on our shop.
Shipping Times
Unfortunately, due to recent high demand and a delayed freight shipment, we have very low inventory of most Beyond 2 and 2e headsets. Although some orders are still shipping within the same day of placing an order, most orders will take 2 weeks to ship. We expect to resume fast shipping (1-2 business days) by September 14. When ordering your headset on our store, the checkout will give you an accurate shipping estimate.
We've Freshened Up
We've spent a lot of time revamping our website with a new modern look! This was no small undertaking and required a considerable amount of work on the back end. Our product configurator has been improved and now shows your selection visually while you shop, so you know exactly what you are going to get. Take a look around, maybe something on the site will surprise you!
Halo Mount Update
At long last, the Halo Mount is ready for the world! We shipped a small batch earlier this summer and users have been sharing their thoughts. Here's a review from u/westside3773 on Reddit.
Overall the halo mount is a nice comfort and usability upgrade. The flip up action is super convenient and works really well.
After our last Halo Mount update, production has now resumed. For those of you who have preordered and patiently waited: thank you. As production ramps up, we expect the largest volume of Halo Mounts to ship in October, and to fully catch up on the Halo Mount preorder backlog in November. Based on the early results, we anticipate no further engineering changes or delays. By November, Halo Mounts will be in inventory and ship within 1-2 business days. We can't wait to hear what you think.
